It is bitter cold outside right now and it has been snowing periodically.  But, somehow I managed to get outside for some pictures.  Now that my husband (my photographer) knows what I want for my blog posts, he can be rather quick with the photos.  So it isn't all that bad.

I apologize for the grainy photos.  When we took these photos a few days ago, it was around 4 o'clock (it gets dark about 5).  The photos were taken with a higher ISO to shoot in the lower light which causes grain.  Shooting in snow is always a challenge any way and the neon colors were throwing off the exposure as well.  The bottom line is the outfit, if my face is grainy who cares.  No one is visiting the blog just to look at me.  Right?  Well, maybe my husband is.

I obviously can't get enough of this pattern combination.  I just love polka dots with stripes.  I don't know what it is about those two patterns.  It is my absolute favorite.

This will not be the last time you see this combo.  I have tons and tons of polka dot and stripe pieces in my closet and I plan on wearing all of them together at some point.  Do you have a favorite color or pattern combination?

If you like polka dots with stripes, check out my other outfits with this combination.  Here, here, here, and here.

LIME CRIME Velvetines Liquid Lipstick ~ Pink Velvet

If you can't tell in all of my pictures, I am really short.  5'3" to be exact.  Most of the time when I go out, I like to wear heels or boots with heels to appear taller than I am.  But, when I know I am going to be doing a lot of walking, I just can't walk in heels for more than an hour or so.

Before Christmas, all I had comfort-wise, was my black fake Dr. Martens and a few black flats.  So, it was important to add a few more color options for when I go shopping or somewhere that requires a lot of walking.  I asked for real white Dr. Martens for Christmas and thankfully my husband got them for me.  I never had a pair, but always wanted them.  I was super excited to finally have them.

On this day, I wore them shopping.  They are really stiff still and I actually got a blister from them.  But I am sure they will loosen up the more I wear them.  I still love them though and can't wait to wear them again soon.

I have been dying to wear this new hair.  I got it for Christmas from my mom (I told her wear to buy it, of course).  It is my very first lace front wig.  I was a little leery of lace front wigs.  To wear it the right way, it needs to be either taped or glued down in the front to get the look of the hair growing out of your scalp.  It seemed like a lot of work.  The wigs I wear are easy to put on and don't take more than a minute to put on.  Also, the price was way more than what I am use to paying.  Nevertheless, I asked for this particular wig for Christmas.  I didn't have any super curly wigs and didn't have any green wigs.  So I thought why not this one.

After purchasing wig tape, I was ready to try out my new lace front wig.  The wig tape was a big fail.  The tape wouldn't stick to the lace on the wig.  I have no idea why.  I read a bunch of reviews on the tape that I purchased.  Everyone said it worked just fine.  So who knows.  It was a very frustrating experience.  After that, I got online and did some research and found that a lot of people don't even use tape or glue to attach the lace front.  I decided to try that and wore it out shopping without tape or glue and it seemed fine.  Ultimately, I want to try spirit gum to attach the wig.  But for now, I wore the wig without either.

I will do a full review on this wig at some point.  So if you interested to know more about this wig, other than my experience with lace fronts, stay tuned.

The shoes I'm wearing in this post are quite old and started to look a little dull.  I thought a refresh was in order.  I had a huge tub of Mod Podge and purple glitter on hand.  So one day, a couple weeks ago, I decided to re-glitter them.  They look brand new now.  I should have did this sooner.  I wish I had more places to wear them.

I have some packages due to be delivered in the next couple weeks that I am really excited about.  Also, I will be showing off some of my new items that I got for Christmas throughout this month.  So please come back.

2015 is going to be a fun year.  I want to be more daring with my style.  I'm too old to care what people think about me.  If you don't like my outfits, then don't look at my blog.  If you see me out and think I look like a weirdo, I am.  As Pharrell Williams so elegantly said this year on The Voice (I watched because of Gwen), the same is lame.  My new motto.

I have a lot of crazy outfits planned for January.  I hope you will stick around to see what I come up with.

Happy New Year!  I can't believe it is 2015 already.  Before I fell asleep after midnight, I realized how long it has been since I graduated from high school.  Yikes!  It seems like just a few years ago.  Oh well.  Hopefully, I don't look as old as I am.

With the new year, most people make new year's resolutions.  I typically don't.  But there are a few things I am working to improve for this year.  So I thought I would make a list of my goals for 2015 and see how I do at the end of the year.

1.  Lose more weight
2.  Work on clearing up my skin (possibly go to a dermatologist)
3.  Get more followers/Post more on the blog
4.  Pay off debt/Save money
5.  Finish my dressing room/walk in closet

Do you make resolutions?  Do you stick with them all year?  I hope I can accomplish most of these goals for the new year.  Here's to a great 2015.
