Roses for Valentine's Day

I wanted to post my Valentine's day look yesterday (like all the other fashion bloggers out there).  Sadly it didn't happen because I was extremely tired after work and I just wasn't motivated to do it.  So here it is today.  Better late than never.

My husband and I celebrated Valentine's day Thursday because we were both off from work.  We went to see my cousin perform in her high school choir.  They were really good.  It was more like Glee (the TV show) then high school choir.  My cousin Lexie is quite the singer.  We were very impressed.

Normally, I wouldn't be attracted to a rose print dress.  But, when I saw a similar dress from Forever 21 (see it in my wish list here) I was hooked.  Unfortunately, when I went to buy it, they didn't have that dress.  I found this one instead.  It is more summery.  So I can wear it year round.  The other one had long sleeves and wouldn't be practical in the summer.

  1. Love your whole Valentine's look, and I love the way you paired a feminine dress with a moto jacket to toughen it up, plus winterizing it with tights + booties = perfect. Thanks so much for sharing your look with Manic Monday. :) -Gina

  3. This is a great dress! I like how you added edge to the floral...I think I'd opt to do something like that too! The red hair and black hat look so great!
