Le-Happy Inspired Three

::Outfit Details::

Black Collar Dress ~ Choies
Destroyed Chain Jean Jacket ~ Love Culture
White Ruffle Socks ~ Amazon
Black Penny Loafers ~ Kaufmann's (now Macy's)
Red Ombre Wig ~ Wig Is Fashion
Lipstick ~ Lime Crime Velvetines in Red Velvet

This is the third look in my inspired by Le-Happy blog series.  Lua always looks so put together and flawless no matter what she is wearing.  She makes wearing jeans and a tee look amazing.  This is my least favorite look that I put together based on something she wore.  I think it is the penny loafers that is throwing it off.  I think I look frumpy and short.  Maybe I should have wore platforms with this outfit.

A big reason why I like Lua's blog so much is because of the photographs.  They are very high quality and look like they could be in a magazine.  I am steadily learning how to improve my photos.  One of the things that I like more about her photos compared to mine is the urban settings.  I take my photos in my driveway which is a wooded area.  I like an urban background better.  Brick walls, graffiti, and streets are more appealing to me.  I wish I had an area like that near my house.  Does it matter what type of background is in the photos or do you just look at the outfit and not the background at all?  I'd love to know what you think.

Floral and Stripes

::Outfit Details::

Black and White Stripe Crop Top ~ Forever 21
Floral Print Leggings ~ Forever 21
Black Boater Hat ~ Forever 21
White Patent Dr. Martens ~ Gifted
Short Blonde and Pink Wig ~ eBay
Lipstick ~ Lime Crime Countessa Fluorescent

Last week, I mentioned that I thought stripes go with everything.  Here is another perfect example of stripes going with another pattern that you might not think goes together.

I love this hair so much (I think I say that with every wig I wear).  It is so fun.  The pop of pink really brings out the pink in the floral leggings.  Do you guys have a favorite wig that I wear?  I'd love to know which ones you like the most.

Le-Happy Inspired Two

::Outfit Details::

Skull Button Down Shirt ~ Choies
Black Tank (Underneath) ~ Walmart
White Overall Shorts ~ Love Culture
Black Fishnet Hose ~ ? (Old)
Black Patent Combat Boots ~ Charlotte Russe
Red Ombre Wig ~ Wig Is Fashion
Lipstick ~ Lime Crime Velvetines in Red Velvet

Here is another outfit that was inspired by the blog, Le-Happy.  I love Lua's grungy style.  This is my take on one of her looks.

I know I've been wearing this skull print button down shirt a lot lately.  It is really comfortable and I love skulls.  Because it goes with so many things, I can't resist wearing it.

This week, I will start both of my new jobs.  I am excited to get started, but extremely nervous for all the new things I'm going to have to learn.  I hate not knowing what I'm doing and I don't like to make mistakes.  So I am a little stressed this week.  Wish me luck, I'll definitely need it.

Mint and Pink Retro

::Outfit Details::

Pink Sweater ~ Forever 21
Mint Tulle Skirt ~ Once Upon a Child (Justice)
Pink Retro Cat Eye Glasses ~ Masquerade Imagination Superstore
Leopard Print Mary Jane's ~ Morbid Threads
Short Blonde and Pink Wig ~ eBay
Lipstick ~ Lime Crime Countessa Fluorescent

I bought these glasses at a costume store in Pittsburgh a few months ago.  I've been wanting to wear them, but I haven't really found an outfit I thought they went with, until now.  I think the glasses really make this outfit.

I'm kind of obsessed with mint green lately.  I guess it is because pastels are always popular during springtime.  When I found this skirt at Once Upon a Child, I instantly knew I wanted to pair it with a pastel pink top.  It is such a fun combination.

Today is my little old chihuahua's birthday.  She is 14 years old and such a good dog.  I am so grateful that she is happy and healthy.  Happy birthday Pokey!

Cream Sweater ~ Forever 21
Heart Skirt ~ Forever 21 Kids
Gray Wide Brim Fedora ~ Gifted (Asos)
Black Over the Knee Boots ~ Forever 21
Red Ombre Wig ~ Wig Is Fashion
Lipstick ~ Lime Crime Velvetines in Red Velvet

If you are into fashion and read fashion blogs, you may have heard of the blog Le-Happy.  Lua is the creative beauty behind the blog which is one of the biggest fashion blogs out there.  When I bought the wig I'm wearing in these photos, last year, it reminded me of her hair.  So because imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, I thought I would do 6 looks that are inspired my her.

One day soon, I should be able to stop wearing sweaters.  It was warmer yesterday, when I took these photos, but it was extremely windy.  It was 70, but felt more like 55 because of the wind.

I really love this look and is now one of my favorites.  It was so hard to narrow the photos down to just 6.  There were so many good ones.  I'll post a few of the ones that didn't make it here over on instagram later this week.

Stripes and Plaid

::Outfit Details::

Black and White Stripe Crop Top ~ Forever 21
Red Plaid Spiked Skirt ~ Forever 21
Black Fishnet Hose ~ ? (Old)
White Patent Dr. Marten Boots ~ Gifted
Long Gray Wig (Lady D Silver Full Wig) ~ Penny Dreads*
Lipstick ~ Wet 'N' Wild Fantasy Maker Lipstick in Black

This is the first Friday in awhile that I am actually glad it is Friday.  This has been an extremely stressful week for me.  I've had 3 job interviews.  Two of them hired me, which means I have been filling out a bunch of paper work that have deadlines.  Next week will be filled with orientation for both new jobs.  Change is tough, but it will all work out and go back to normal at some point.  I look forward to that day.

Most people probably think plaid and stripes don't go together.  I'm obviously not like most people and I think they look great together.  Honestly, I think stripes go with everything.  Plaid, polka dots, floral prints.  I can't think of a single thing stripes wouldn't go with.  Maybe anything brown or tan.  Nothing goes with brown in my opinion.  One of my new jobs requires dress casual attire and the guy suggested I wear khaki pants.  I don't think so.  I wouldn't be caught dead in khaki pants.  Can you picture me wearing khaki anything?

*If you like the wig I am wearing (it is my new favorite), you can purchase it here.  By referring you, I will receive 20 percent off my next order with Penny Dreads.  Buy away.  You'll love it.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Polka Dots and Stripes No. 20

::Outfit Details::

Black and White Stripe Spike Top ~ Gifted
Black and White Polka Dot Shorts ~ Gabe's (Gabriel Brothers)
Spike Headband ~ DIYed
White Spike Boots ~ eBay
Short Black Wig ~ eBay
Lipstick ~ Lime Crime Poisonberry

Here is the bonus polka dots and stripes look I promised earlier today.  Are you surprised by how many articles of clothing I have that are either polka dots or stripes?  I just bought a few more things recently.  I can't get enough.

I'm off to watch the hockey playoffs.  I fear disappointment is on its way for this Pittsburgh Penguin's fan.  They have really been struggling lately.  So I am not optimistic.

If you missed any of my polka dots and stripes looks from above, you can see all of them  here, here, here, herehere
